How to Make Animal Topiaries...

Here at Moss Acres we have made this quite simple. Our frog and turtle outdoor topiaries are coated wire topiary forms that are first stuffed with sphagnum moss (to hold moisture) and then covered with hypnum / fern moss and secured with wire.

These topiary forms not only look great in most any shade garden setting, they are also incredibly easy to care for – just an occasional watering during dry periods to keep the moss lush and green is all that is required.

When you consider how to make animal topiaries, Moss Acres can enable you to pursue your project in one of two different ways:

1. Topiary forms are pre-stuffed with sphagnum moss and then you cover them with the hypnum / fern moss provided.
2. The pre-stuffed outdoor topiaries ship with the hypnum / fern moss cover already affixed to the topiary forms.
